CHARTER STANDARD

The charter standard club initiative was launched in 2000 and was developed from Howard Wilkinson's 'Charter for Quality' document. The idea of the award is to recognise quality, raise standards and increase the quality of provision for children.

To be able to qualify for an award, clubs have to demonstrate that they are a well run, safe and organised club for young people to play football at. The criteria that each club has to reach to demonstrate this includes: the submission of a written constitution, code of conduct, club accounts and meeting minutes. The club must demonstrate that all coaches and managers are qualified to at least Junior Team Managers level (this includes emergency first aid and Child Protection certification) as well as have adopted the F.A's child protection policies and appointed a club child Protection Officer.

The club have coaches that are qualified to F.A coaching certificate level and have committed to attending F.A in service training.
