Cheltenham Saracens Football Club
History
Formed in 1964 as part of a multi-sport club, they joined the cheltenham league division 5. Gradually the section grew in strength and was soon running two sides in the cheltenham league, two in the stroud & district, two sunday teams and several youth teams. In 1986 the club was elected to the hellenic league and stayed in division 1 until they were promted to the premier division in 1999/2000, with the 2nd team also winning the reserve section. After two years in the premier the team were relegated back to division 1 in 2001/2002.
The club has now a strong base to move forward with four snr teams on saturdays an 11 junior team ages 6-18.
With the improvements to St Peters Ground now completed the club is now looking to move forward and hope for promotion to the premier division.
The club has established a link with the University of Gloucestershire as their community club and are able to use the facilities of their sports grounds. In addition football scholarships are available for outstanding young players.

Follow directions into Cheltenham following signs for railway station.At station roundabout take Gloucester Rd, in a northerly direction for approx 2 miles. Turn left at lights past Tesco entrance onto Tewkesbury Road, follow road past The Range Superstore over railway bridge. Take 1st left and then 1st left again, then 1st left into service road follow road round into Petersfield Park carpark.
