UNDER 11's 2007 TRIP TO LADYBRIDGE FC

Saracens win Out of County Clash!

With both Cheltenham Saracens U11 teams riding high at the top of their divisions, they needed an extra chellenge.

So with no Sunday fixture, Simon Attwood, the Club Manager, arranged an out of county match with Ladybridge Football Club under 11’s in Bolton.

The first half of the game saw constant pressure from Saracens with several good chances created. But at half time there had been no goals scored as much of the play and many of the chances had been hampered by very strong winds.

Following a well-deserved break, both teams resumed play with chances seen at both ends of the pitch. Finally the dead lock was broken when a superb cross from Elliott Keightley entered Ladybridge’s goal mouth from the right hand side. A scramble took place and Ross Harvey had his shot blocked, Ryan Williams was quick to pounce but the goalkeeper denied him, allowing Alex Kerrod to tap the ball sailing into the net.

The game continued at a quick pace and Saracens secured a win when Sam Wood drove forward from the midfield and coolly slotted past the Ladybridge goalkeeper.

The final score was 2-0 to Cheltenham Saracens, in a match that was played in such a warm and positive manner.

Saracens Team: Ryan Attwood, Tom Walby, Alex Kerrod, Sam Wood, Ryan Williams, Elliott Keightley, Ross Harvey, , James Busswell, Ryan Carey, Jadon Hutchinson, Josh Laister, Josh Preston, Chris Price, Jed Seers,Josh Kennedy , Dan Newman,
